Modern Dance's Final Reflection

   1   A Way to Escape my Everyday Life Jenny Rivas This class brought many takeaways, especially because we explored so many different types of movement within modern dance. My main takeaway from this class is that there is no correct way to move our bodies. This class taught me that no matter what type of movement you are doing, it is expressing something; whether it is as little as moving your wrist to as big as jumping into the air, our bodies will always express something and that is so special about modern dance. Modern dance shows us that all movement is any type of movement and that is clearly seen in the different styles of modern that we studied in this course. This class was for sure experiential because as part of the course, we were required to explore these different types of movement and different styles of modern dance.
